AbstractAt the present, there are two graphics systems available at the Division of Computer Science, namely the SunCore and the D3D systems. The SunCore, available on the SUN workstations, is based upon the ACM Core system, which provides standardized sets of commands to control the construction and display of graphics images. On the other hand, the D3D system, available on microcomputers, provides a set of interactive 3D graphics programs for designing 3D objects. In this work the fa c ilities of the SunCore are linked to the D3D system to produce a new system, called Sun3D. This system makes use of the advantages and the functions of the SunCore package and the D3D system. Finally a set of application programs for the B-spline surfaces of different types are given. They call the Sun3D system to draw these surfaces.
