Abstract | In this research, a mathematical model for emergency inventory model under continuous review (Q, R) policy consists of single vendor single retailers in the case of normally distributed demand has been developed. The model is based on inventory and probability theories and aimed to provide the minimize total inventory cost from optimal solutions which are order quantity, reorder point, and expected cycle length. After developing the mathematical models, effect of the input parameters to the decision variables analyzed using MATLAB program. Numerical experiment and sensitivity analysis with respect to mean demand rate, standard deviation of demand rate, lead time for normal situation, and lead time for emergency situation. |
