AbstractThis study is aimed at the identification of impact of industrial pollution in Angul-Talcher area , Orissa , India. The field study include eg. air , water , soil qu ality monitoring. Data collection was conducted from 15th Oct to 31st Dec 1989 under the supervision of the State Prevention and Control of Pollution Board , Orissa , India. Various aspects of air, water and soil quality were studied. The health status of the population was examined from the hospital data and correlated with sanitation, air and water pollution. Other expected impacts were studied through field observation. It was found that the pollution prob- lems in this area were mainly due to indu stial emissions. Health and other hazards were identified. Air and water quality call for immediate control measures. The impact on the environmental resources is highlighted in a Matrix.
