Abstract | This thesis pertains to the study multi-project multi - resource scheduling problem. A case of study is taken up from Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT ) . The specific problem considered h ere is of transmission line projects. Three projects, each requiring eight difference types of resources have been studied. The Best-first search methodology is applied h ere which is adopted from a recent paper. However , the adjustment is done to make the proposed methodology capable to manage the multi- project problem and also to use the advantage of heuristic method. The program in this thesis is written in LISP language in order to suit the methodology . A comparison of heuristic method a nd optimizing method is presented. By applying the methodology , the sensitivity analysis with respect to resource additions and time variations are done. In time variation analysis some assumptions are required to be made so that it can be analyzed by using the methodology developed. Further study on Cost-Benefit analysis of the proposed resources has been reported by varying the interest rates with fixed inflation rate. |
