Abstract | The objectives of this study are: firstly , to identify the factors affecting attractiveness of countries for foreign direct investment (FDI } , secondly, to rank the attractiveness of the selected countries for foreign direct investment (FDI) . By using t h e methodology of Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), t h e factors ranked on their importance. Sociopolitical stability was found to b e t h e most important factor, followed by Level of Development, Government ' policy/attitude, Economic & financial stability, Marketability, Advantage in skilled labor & entrepreneurial talents, and lastly Advantage in labor and natural resources. Taken into account these factors Thailand was found to b e the most attractive country, followed by Malaysia , Indonesia , and Philippines. |
