| Abstract | This study attempted to apply the concepts of construction planning to a large civil engineering project consisting of three earth dams . Various activities to be executed were identified, construction methods were suggested, the durations of various activities were estimate d, and construction sequences were proposed for maximum productivity at minimum cost . A d e tailed discussion of major work items were presented and a CPM (Critical Path Method) network mod e l was us e d to portray the proposed construction plan . The reliability of the plan was then tested through comparison with actual field situation . |
