AbstractLaboratory testing of with soil disturbance and the pile in the process of thesis work. Direct Shear the soft Bangkok clay and its relation excess pore pressure development around driving have been the focal points of this Test and K -consolidated Undraiued Triaxial 0 Test with pore pressure measuremets were performed in the laboratory and some parameters like undrained shear strength s , Total angle u of internal friction c/iu , Undrained Secant Modulus E 50 and Henkel' s pore pressure parameter at failure af are determine from Triaxial Test Tests whereas adhesion factor, ~. effective angle of internal friction ¢d, shear strength ingrained conditions, are determined from Direct Shear Tests along with determination of some Index properties for the clay. The ~ parameter is found to be 0.26 times the effective overburden pressure, the Henkel' s pore pressure parameter and Skempton' s pore pressure parameter are found to be highest for the depth Sm to l2.5m where liquid limit is found very high. Some relationships between the shear strength of the clay and effective angle of internal frictions are developed The undrained shear strength of over consolidated clay have been found by using the method suggested by MAYNE (1980).
