AbstractIn this investigation, an attempt is made to study the engineering properties of Kuala Lumpur limestone . The rock core, approximately 52 mm in diameter obtained from boreholes in four locations from Kuala Lumpur area and aggregate from the existing quarry were collected. The physical, mechanical and mineralogical properties were studied in detail in the laboratory. The results show that the Kuala Lumpur limestone can be classified as a medium strength with high modulus ratio roc k. According to the tested results, the aggregate from Puchong is suitable for used as the construction material. It also found that the present investigation results agree generally with the previous results of Kuala Lumpur limestone properties and is within the range of other Malaysian Limestone properties.
