AbstractThis research dealt with bus user characteristics(regular, air-conditioned and minibuses). Regular a nd minibuses were regularly use d b y passengers in the age group o f <2 0 - 3 0) years while passenger s o f age 50 year and older prefers air - condition e d buses. Most o f the u se r s were government officials and students . Monthly income played an important role in the selection of the public transport modes. While people used regular and minibuses for short trips , air-conditioned buses were preferred for long journeys. All the three buses were main used for working trips . The people needed more number of buses and routes in case of regular and air-conditioned buses while they anticipated a change for better in case o f the manners of the driver and conductor. Bangkok Mass Transit Authority CBMTA> busser vice was better than the private busser vice . Air-conditioned buses had more advantages interns of comfort and convenience as per the opinion of the bussers. All the regular , air-conditioned and minibus users were of the opinion that the present fare was reason able and accepted the idea of the monthly ticket for regular and air - conditioned buses.
