AbstractKanban based Just-in- Time production system is generally thought to apply to repetitive manufacturing rather than a maketo-order factory with rigid specification. However, the concepts of Just- in-Time and information flow of Kanban system are quite applicable. In this study , Kanban system is modified to adapt to the production environment of the cable manufacturing factory with deterministic dynamic demand. An EOQ model for Kanban system is proposed for the production with significant setup cost.
