AbstractEven with such close proximities betwee n areas, consumption structures among the popularly used fuels distinctly. Wider variations results as data is disaggregated. Comparisons with earlier studi es in some how s l ightl y tallies such that the disaggr egated appears non-representative of the aggregated, regional, energy varies further 198 2 , va lues values. The overall average monthly hous ehold consumption for the three provinces of 1.0 GJ comes on l y a meie quarter as compared to the nationwide average obtained for 198 2 of 3 . 61 GJ or the regional average of 3.13 GJ . Contrary to the 198 2 study, coconut derived fuels , instead of fuelwood, predominates this consumption figure at 57.12 percent. Electricity remains at a constant s hare of 2 . 97 percent.
