Abstract | With the development of the technology, it was found that not only geophysical methods are used to obtain the surface and subsurface resistivity profiles. Therefore, this research study was carried out to find the relationship between three different types of methods that can obtain surface and subsurface resistivity profiles. To obtain the surface resistivity, Remote Sensing data were collected by using Sentinel-1 satellite, and subsurface resistivity was established by using the Vertical Electrical Sounding (VES) method and Hanna instrument. Since there were no researches was carried out to find the correlation between Remote Sensing and VES, this study will reduce the knowledge gap between them. The VES data and the Remote Sensing data were collected on the same date to reduce the effect of changing weather conditions. VES survey was carried out for 4 different depths including 0.18m, 0.72m, 2m, and 8m, and same time direct field conductivity data also obtained for the same VES location stations by using the Hanna instrument. Obtained remote sensing data was conducted into image processing algorithms before extract the conductivity data. It was found that resistivity obtained from Remote Sensing has a good correlation relationship with VES survey results for the 0.18m resistivity data. Therefore, based on the statistical analysis performed, it can predict the surface resistivity by using the resistivity data very shallow depths in plain areas. |
