AbstractDrivers' behavior related to lag acceptance were investigated before-and-after placing of Traffic Control Devices at two non-signalized intersections in Bangkok. Two intersections of different types the T-Type and the Cross-Type were selected as study sites. To determine and compare drivers' behavior before-and-after placing of traffic control devices, a simple Logit Model with linear transformation was applied to determine the 50 % lag acceptance. Analysis was also extended to include McNeil and Morgan method . Results indicate that the left turning minor road vehicles have the smaller values of 50 % lag acceptances compared to the right, through and combined right and through movements. It appears that the type of major road vehicle will have some effects on the lag acceptance. Results also indicate that motorcycles are more aggressive and less cautious compared to other types of vehicles. The effect of marking showed that the increment in 50 % lag acceptance values for most of the minor road vehicles and these results indicate the overall improvement in drivers behavior at both intersections.
