Abstract | In early processes of project development, the potential for the project should be discovered in the feasibility study. A Feasibility Study, with a good Preliminary Design Sketch, provides clear insights into what the future of a potential property or real estate investment may hold. However, conducting Feasibility Study and developing a design sketch which meets pre-defined criteria is a painful and time-consuming process. In this report, I am going to explore the potential application of computerized generative design platform for conducting feasibility study of building project. The approach is to use generative design in a case study project with existing input and output information, as well as project criteria. With a focus on case studies, this study analyzed some strengths, weakness and give some recommendations for framework of applying generative design in conducting a Feasibility Study at an early stage of a project for more efficient building designs. |
