| Abstract | Vietnamese real estate companies are expended fast and completion time of a project is the most important for the companies to launch a qualified product on a right time. Consequently, all these companies need to have a good system working well together within a time and budget limitation. Tender stage is one of the key process in this series. However, understanding the Procurement and Tendering works to cooperate and practice in a project is not easy. Moreover, unofficial benefits from the construction is not small, therefore transparent criteria needs to be controlled during the project time to get a right quality within budget given. These mentioned issues are pushing a real estate company to establish a professional procurement and tender department urgently to build their project followed targets defined. In this report, I’m going to present difficulties of these companies who are in the beginning of establishing a procurement and tender department in Vietnam. In addition, I am going to use the knowledge which I have been studying in Professional Master in Project Management in Construction (MPM) at Asian Institute Technology (AIT) to analyze these problems. With focus on case studies, this study analyzed some strength, weakness and give some recommendations for the companies to achieve the Procurement and Tender works successfully. |
