Abstract | Most of the newspapers on domestic and international real estate investment also share the view that Vietnam's construction industry is very developed and highly competitive. However, the recent negative effects from Covid pandemic – 2021, the war Russia-Ukraine, the tightening of the construction project legislation as well as the change in the Real estate credit policy in 2022 have caused many large projects to be suspended. Construction contractors face many difficulties when their project profit declines seriously due to fluctuation of material prices, labor shortage, inflation and price competition among contractors. Therefore, companies must always change and innovation seeking improvements in organizational structure, thereby bringing profits to the company, their partner as well as their customer. And this is the scenario for the development of this report, carried out to learn the Contractor organizational structure in the Vietnam market. The study focuses on office building – Class A project of TCB Client in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam. The project started in May 2020 and is expected to be completed and put into use in March 2023. This is a project with the participation of many famous design consultant company and project management consultant company in the word as well as attracting many major supplier in the market. The main contractor of the project is a leading general contractor in Vietnam with an experienced management team in the construction of high-rise buildings. The main purpose of the report is to focus on understanding the Organizational project structure of the building contractor, studying about responsibility of individual/ division/ department in organizational structure, the coordination between project team and Head office, thereby identifying the weaknesses, strengths and lesson leanrt for practical applications in Vietnam construction market. |
