| Abstract | This study is involved with developing a framework of a decision support. system for personnel planning. instead of looking upon outputs as periodic reports such as used in ordinary personne1s system, a personnel planning subsystem has been proposed and designed. Starting with the study of the system analysis research reports of the personnel section of two academic institution, an attempt is made to create an interface between the proposed system and a particular academic institution. A personnel planning data base is designed with the emphasis to provide the changing information about employees , the organization structure and the jobs. The outputs of the system can be used by the personnel planning models which will provide information related to overall personnel planning. Using fourth generation language, a prototype has been implemented with a view to fulfill the system design requirement in the DSS environment. |
