AbstractEconomic activities in country are never constant. In fact there is a long term trend with short term variations around it . These short term variations are called Business Cycles. Our research is focused on, " modelling and simulating the growth trends and structured analysis of business cycles : case of Pakistan". APL, A Programming Language database system and its utilities and our developed software in APL are the tools used in t he research. We have observed the pattern of GDP of Pakistan to be the part of some long wave resembling that of Kondratieff business cycle. Similarly the Investment cycle look like Juglar, s cycle.
