Abstract | This study is concerned with the development of an interactive, microcomputer based solution techni que for Graphical Evaluation and Review Technique (GERT) networks. Two routines were developed, one for statitisti cal procedure (analytical), and the other for simu lation procedure. This program written in BASIC could be run on any DOS operating system. An attempt was made for the first time to solve a GERT network consisting of 3 parameters simultaneously which could be used for optimizing any network in an iterative procedure. It is apparent that GERT is quite adaptive to various situations and gives very good visualization effects in representing the production problem. |
