AbstractThe agriculture industry in Thailand has seen a decrease of agriculture productivity, with a major factor being that the industry itself has been severely underinvested due to insufficient investments occurring within the sector itself. Various research done by scholars has shown that to overcome the lack of productivity, introducing agriculture machinery can help solve the issues itself as well as other climate change issues. This study uses concepts used in capital budgeting methods used in evaluating a project where a Thai farmer would partially finance with the help of Hire Purchase agreements offered by tractor Dealerships based on plantation of two crop data’s, cassava and sugarcane. There are two data sources with primary data sources being requested ethically mainly to be used for the project analysis. The secondary data sources found from research done by Krungsri Research and Office and Agriculture Economics, Thailand. The results revealed that a Thai farmer planting the cassava crop in a span of six years while financing for a tractor would bring in a favorable NPV and a higher IRR, in comparison to a farmer that plants sugarcane crops. This study also describes the limitations of the simulated project recommending areas of further research needed. Additionaally with all the findings a pool of recommendation back to the company are suggested with areas to further look upon within the agriculture industry.
