| Abstract | The idea of the database approach has been adapted to the hypermatrix operations , macromodel analysis a nd the computer graphics in this study. New algorithms for the hypermatrix operations have been developed for the various calculations of very large structural systems . The macromodel approach has been carried out , and it has been shown that the accuracy of the final solution mainly depends on the number of eigen vectors of the structural stiffness matrix. Th e accuracy of the eigen values of the structural stiffness matrix was not an important factor to get the better solution. By taking advantage of the W.PRZYBY LO's database management system, t h e 3-D graphics of the eigen mode vectors and the final displacements of a steel tower have been established in the A.I.T. graphics work station ( I.B.M. 50 8 0 ) • |
