Abstract | This study concentrates on an inventory model for precast concrete pile production. Related data and information is collected from a leading pile manufacturing company, though it is not easy to be acquired. However, the reality of this study comes into existence and the practicability of this study should be adopted. Principles and theory related to this study are reviewed. A forecasting method and a demand forecast are discussed and formulated . Production equipment, production process and cost parameters are included in the proposed inventory model. A deterministic dynamic inventory model and the result of inventory control are presented. Inventory management which is an economical and efficient tool for planning the production and controlling the inventory has been emphasized in this fast developing age. |
