AbstractMuch research has been done in the field of design thinking, but there is still no clear answer to DT's success factors for organizations. With the growing success of organizations like Apple, more and more organizations are applying DT in the hope of creating a new market. If success factors of DT are clearly defined, work for these organizations will be much easier. This research paper aims to help organizations analyze the benefits of using DT and decide whether to adopt this process in the future. Skype interviews were conducted from six experts in the field of design thinking. Those interviews were turned into transcripts and used as data. Grounded theory was used to construct theory from the data collected and Atlas.ti was used as the software tool for the analysis of the data. Causal conditions leading to the central phenomenon, context, intervening conditions that affected the strategies to bring consequences arose from this analysis. The organizations will be able to pick the factors which arose from the analysis to adopt design thinking.
