Abstract | Purpose- The purpose of this research is to study find out the existing condition of the married working women in the companies related to service sectors of Nepal and how they are managing their work and personal life. Methodology- The data were collected using questionnaire-based survey among 192 respondents who were married women working in service sector industries in Kathmandu. The questionnaires used were adapted from various sources. The five hypotheses were tested by using the Hierarchical multiple regression analysis. Findings- Work Support and Family Support were found to have a significant positive impact on work-life balance of married working women. However, working hours, family responsibilities, and work environment had no significant impact on the work-life balance of married working women in Nepal. Recommendations of strategies and policies and programs to be implemented to achieve a proper work-life balance were made to employees and the organizations. Originality-There are no studies commenced in Kathmandu which especially focused on work-life balance of married working women in service sectors of Nepalese society. |
