AbstractHuman resource is regarded as the constant long-term asset of an organization which is dynamic in nature and can be nurtured in both their technical and interpersonal skills i.e. hard skills and soft skills to make them more effective and efficient in achieving their goals in line with their organizational goal. Managers in today’s era are looking for people who maintain a proper balance between these two skills to compete with the international challenges. There is a growing gap in the hard and soft skills creating a scenario of more unemployability than unemployment issue in India. The employees need a well-structured training and development program so that they can sharpen their technical knowledge and learn to maintain the correct set of interpersonal skills to sustain and grow within the industry in the long run. In growing economies like India, the significance of hard skills often overshadows that of soft skills. The customer service sectors who directly deal with the end customers are majorly impacted due to this imbalance.
