AbstractNo prior studies have been conducted regarding the shift of organizational culture from physical to remote and its relationship to job satisfaction as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic in the Nepalese e-commerce organization. Both organizations and individuals are predicted to undergo a significant change in the work culture due to Covid-19; this transition has a severe effect on employees' satisfaction with their work. Hypothetically, the shift is perceived differently by each person and has a different effect on them. The primary purpose of this research is to assess the relationship between the remote work environment, working hours, HRM practices, and transformational leadership style with job satisfaction during the shift of workplace culture from physical to remote work due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Research data were collected from 152 employees currently employed at the e-commerce organization in Kathmandu, Nepal, through a questionnaire-based survey. The questionnaires used in this research have been adapted from different academic publications. A hierarchical multiple regression analysis was used to test the hypothesis of this study, while the correlation analysis was also adapted to assess the correlation between different variables. Each independent variable (i.e. remote work climate, working hours, HRM practices, and transformational leadership) has a significant relationship with employees' satisfaction with their work. Although, the control variables have an insignificant relationship with job satisfaction besides the level of income. Given that the Covid-19 pandemic scenario is a novel circumstance experienced by individuals, it is recommended that organizations and managers take extra measures, planning, and executions to maintain or increase the employee's level of satisfaction, as it is a critical time where each individual expects a healthy working culture and a supportive leader. This research attributes the remote work environment, working hours, HRM practices, and transformational leadership style to a positive relationship with employees' satisfaction. Accordingly, this research study showed that job satisfaction among employees has a statistically significant relationship with the remote work environment, working hours, HRM practices, and transformational leadership during work from home culture. Similarly, there is a tremendous need for further research in this area, since we were not even prepared during this period, but individuals and organizations now have to be well prepared for more unseen scenarios.
