| Abstract | An attempt is made to define a prototype query language for the Office of the Board of Investment which is n on-procedural as well as more " natural " than existing languages and implement it with Prolog06 on a micro-computer . It is shown that non - proceduralness can be achieved through the use of implicit attribute linking and BQL can , with in its scope , handle English -like queries in a restricted domain .Transportation of the retrieval language to different applications may be accomplished by redefining the data description and data dictionary. The languages pacification used in this study is based on semantic grammar. The system implemented consists basically of the syntax checker and the query solver each independent of the other . The implementation of the query solver is based on introducing extra arguments in to the syntax checker . |
