AbstractThis study develops a theoretical approach to housing and land management problems in urban economics. The study focuses on analyzing housing maintenance and rebuilding policies, a house owner ' s selling behavior , and optimal land development timing policies. As an analytical tool , the study applies control theory and optimal stopping theory to housing and land management problems.
