AbstractIn the light of recent economic stagnation the existing frameworks of the mass technology and the economic orders have to be either reinforced or replaced. Two of the emerging technological options for future prosperity flexible specialization and multinational Keynesianism aided with with proper economic institutions are studied. The study is aided by the dynamic model of a macroeconomy structured from the System Dynamics perspective. It is found that flexible specialization works well in an economy which is relatively fixed and capital intensive but fails to recover the economy in a growth condition, whereas the second alternative - multinational keynesianism - recovers the economy in a fixed economy and performs at least better than the flexible specialization in a growth condition of 2% population (labor- force) growth rate though not to the full extent.
