Abstract | The long term trend in the world today is to move from a society of production to a society of knowledge or an information society . This development is portrayed by the many ways in which the information machines called computers have permeated every conceivable aspect of social , political and economic systems. This study analyzes the various areas of computer technology as it impacts on Thai business, government, industry and society. Drawing from primary data gathered from organizations in Bangkok , it tests several statistical hypotheses a nd examines the usage of computers across the user categories as manufacturing , banking , government , health , education, hotel/airlines/transportation , trading , international , and service organizations. |
