AbstractThis study id aimed at formulating a training programs for rural water supply. It can be divided into three areas. firstly community participation and hygiene education. The role of rural women in taking care of the basic health, the study develops some guide lines how to motivate the rural people and how to approach them for the participation. Secondly it deals with the training procedure for the trainees, third part of the study deal with the water treatment system employed normally in the rural areas i.e slow sand filters a day to day operation and general maintenance are described in details. It is not only to train the people but to operate and maintain the system.
