Abstract | The information regarding the conditions of the traffic congestion level in Bangkok city. The reason behind the Bangkok city’s traffic congestion may be the high usage of private vehicles, a limited network of public transport, mismanagement by the traffic control authorities, size of the roads etc. Several existing CCTV cameras have been deployed recently in various places for surveillance and traffic monitoring. From images and location information from existing cameras can be used to obtain precise traffic congestion information. Therefore, we propose a road condition extraction framework that covers different situations, such as daylight and night-time scenes, crowded and non-crowded traffic condition of that road. The framework is based on CCTV images from a Bangkok metropolitan dataset, AIT alumni To obtain information from CCTV image sequences, for every 15 minutes vehicle count as well as appear and disappear time for those vehicles in the CCTV images was considered to find average time the average speed of those vehicles. To find the level of congestion I used the vision of CCTV images to calculate the distance from that distance I calculated level of congestion for CCTV images data set. I compared CCTV data with GPS Survey Data to know the accuracy of the congestion level in Bangkok city. Our evaluation shows during the morning peak hours, as well as peak hours and off-peak hours, has a lot of congestion in the Bangkok city. |
