AbstractThis research delves into an underexplored field of study that might have far-reaching effects on Nepal's long-term growth and prosperity by evaluating the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, motivations, and barriers among the d (ISP) sector of Nepal. Utilizing a qualitative approach 14 companies and 18 respondents were selected for the in-depth interview with the help of purposive sampling. Leading corporate executives with a substantial role to play in CSR were chosen. The findings from this study reveal 11 categories of CSR practices conducted by ISP companies of Nepal. Similarly, 5 overarching motivations and 10 themes of obstacles were discovered. Overall, the study explored large companies were more active than small companies in CSR practices. This was justified as large companies have greater profit, resources, manpower and legal obligation. However, in absence of the legal obligation companies with strong sense of responsibility towards the society, positive mindset, greater motivation, and less barriers were perceived to pursue CSR. Results from this study on CSR practices among ISPs in Nepal provide useful information that can guide future studies and have significant implications for other nations and industries, all of which can help advance the goal of responsible business practices and sustainable development in the ISP industry and beyond.
