Abstract | This internship report provides a overview of my tenure at the data team of the digital department in IVL, where I had the opportunity to contribute to critical aspects of cloud computing, security, and data management within the organization’s Amazon Web Ser vices (AWS) environment. The report dives into key areas of my internship, which is the optimization of cloud infrastructure from the standpoint of security, performance, and costs. Researching the remediation of security issues, and a thorough evaluation of data lake options. Additionally, it discusses my engagement with the data team to explore ag nostics capabilities of database infrastructure, activation of various AWS services, and the reinforcement of AWS infrastructure security. Throughout this report, I outline the challenges faced, the methodologies employed, and the impact of my contributions. This internship experience has not only honed my technical skills but has also provided valuable insights into the critical role of cloud tech nology in modern business operations. Furthermore, it underscores the importance of security and cost-efficiency in cloud computing and highlights the organization’s com mitment to enhancing its AWS infrastructure. By sharing the knowledge gained and lessons learned during this internship, this report aims to contribute to the broader discourse on cloud computing, security best practices, and data management strategies while providing recommendations for further improve ments in these areas. Overall, this internship has been an invaluable opportunity for professional growth and development, and I am eager to apply these experiences and insights in my future endeavors. |
