AbstractThe costs e valuation of basement construction is carried out to determine the optimum depth or the number of storeys of the basement to meet the satisfactory utilities a n cl costs. As well , the construction methods and the relevant problems are determined to achieve this particular construction. From the typical site and soil condition, a design is made of the multi-storey deep basement with different alternative construction methods . The mathematical models o f various construction cost components are then formulated as the function of the relevant components and the numbers of storeys or depth of basement. By applying these models to the existing basement structures, the construction costs of multi-storey basements are then obtained. Finally, the economic evaluation is don e to determinate feasible and economical number of storeys for each selected project.
