Abstract | This study addresses the development of a microcomputer based information system for an electronic instrument distribution company. The scope and style of this system has been specifically designed. for a small. family business (name withheld ) in Chieugmai, Thailand. This study uses a technique of structured system analysis and design to document all activities. Firstly , the existing system is studied and analyses, problems are identified and finally , the new system is designed to solve or minimize the problems. The structure of files is designed based on dBASE II. Programs in this system are classified into tour types according to their function: file creation, update file, produce report a nd inquiry programs. They are successfully implemented on the microcomputer APPLE II. |
