AbstractThe present research is concerned with the development of a computation support system. The Work includes the design and implementation of a system for data retrieval and statistical analysis of meteorological data. Evaporation, rainfall, humidity and temperature data accessible to the system have been previously collected from the meteorological stations in Thailand. This system provides several kinds of report such as monthly maximum and minimum values; monthly mean, variance and skewness; serial correlation coefficients; plot of daily data pattern; plot of monthly data pattern; daily forecasting; monthly forecasting; estimation of missing data and raw data reports. The system design is the first step towards using both a mainframe and a microcomputer together with the attempt to make the system easy and convenient to use. the IBM 3031 and IBM PC are chosen to implement the system. A user's guide for the system has been provided. A set of the data was analysed using the developed system. The results obtained are included in the report.
