AbstractThis research is an attempt to investigate the possibility of energy conservation especially for mechanical systems in the Sheraton Hotel. Breakdowns of energy consumption of various energy systems such as the air-conditioning system and steam system have been done. Energy auditing has been carried out, thermal performance of the air-conditioning system and boilers have been analyzed. Energy conservation opportunities in various energy system are analyzed and recommended. The economic analysis of such conservation opportunities is studied using the pay back period and rate of return. The possible savings from the recommended measures can be about 4,865,000 baht/year of about 44% of the total hotel energy consumption in 1983.
