AbstractStudies on energy uses of Bang Pa-In paper mill factory, a 40 tons of paper production per day in Ayudaya province, have been carried out. Energy auditing has been done in the thermal energy utilization unit. The energy analysis and the availability analysis are applied to the boiler house until. Break downs of energy consumption, the first law efficiency and the second low efficiency of various thermal energy consumer unit in the boiler house have been made. The energy balance is also applied to the thermal energy consumer units in the process. The electric cogeneration feasibility study have been carried out. energy conservation opportunities in various thermal energy systems are identified, analyzed and recommended. Economic returns of the potential conservation measures are also analyzed. The saving that may be possible from the recommended measures can be at least 9.6 million Baht/year or about 14% of the total energy cost in 1983. this amount of saving have excluded the uncounted saving of the other measures which are also purposed in the study.
