Abstract | This research study basically discusses the petroleum policy of Thai Governments. The various sectors and their organization of the petroleum industry along with the economic policy development is reviewed. The suppliers of petroleum and petrol products. Lastly, the origin, operation and management, and the effects of the Government's Oil Fuel Fund are closely scrutinized. it has been observed that in accordance to the petroleum policy of the Thai Government, the import to export ratio of petroleum has decreased since 1980. Imports of petroleum products are now being distributed among many countries and refineries are being expanded. The Government Oil Fuel Fund, which was established to check the frequent increase in petroleum products price has been found to be suitable for short and medium operations while a petroleum tax structure will be much more suitable for long run operations. |
