AbstractTechnology is one of the most important factors in economic growth, and the technological capacity tor absorbing and assimilating foreign technology depends to a Large extent on the technological level of the transferred. A technological level is measured by an indicator called 'technology potential index' which is developed based on various variables employing the factor analysis technique in this study . This research study attempts to develop a dynamic mathematical model for the technology assimilation capacity based on the technology potential index, and the developed model is applied to automobile technology in selected countries
