AbstractThis study was conducted to see whether Compressed Natural gas can be used in Bangladesh as alternate road transport fuel. Bangladesh has a substantial reserve of natural gas but utilization of gas is limited . Again, Bangladesh is spending a huge sum of foreign currency tor importing petroleum products, oi which a big proportion is spent in road transport sector. Utilization of natural gas in road transport section after necessary conversion and following available proven technology could ease import export situation a nd sav evaluable foreign currency. In this research study a technical- economical feasibility analysis is conducted on the context of Bangladesh to see whether CNG can be a feasible alternative for conventional automotive fuel such as Petrol a nd Diesel.
