Abstract | In this study, system dynamics approach is used to investigate some possible consequences of operating Material Requirements Planning MRP) in imperfect information environment. The System Dynamics model comprises of three interrelated subsystems i.e . material flow system, MRP information system, and customer demand system . characteristics of the model when some selected inaccurate information are used as MRP inputs are discussed. Two policy guidelines for increasing production system stability and maintaining the market share are also presented. |
