AbstractNo technological development has had as great an impact on industry, commerce and society generally as the computer. worse will do so increasingly in the future. This study is concerned with the development of a system, operable on a microcomputer, which will effectively translate the routine procedures of an experienced electrical engineering engaged in tendering into a set of programs for automatic execution of these tasks. The author has created a data bank and developed an estimating program to process historical data in this data bank. A suitable estimate equation has been found for predicting the costs of electrical projects.
