| Abstract | Science and Technology manpower is one of the most important agent of growth of technological capability of the country. An expansion of Science and Technology activities require a large base of Science and Technology manpower and most of developing countries faced problem of shortages of this kind of manpower. Proper forecast and planning is necessary to facilitate this requirement of S&T manpower. Information system and planning model is needed for effective and efficient planning.
This study is involved with developing a framework for information system that will provide the information needs for the S&T manpower planning. It covers the development of model to be used in estimating the future requirement of S&T manpower by analyzing the existing models and data. It discusses the procedure in developing the model and some forecasting aspect of S&T manpower requirement in the future. |
