Abstract | The Philippine Minis try of Energy has prepared the 1981-86 National Energy Program covering the energy demand forecast, energy resources, power and downstream facilities development plans, sectoral targets and factor requirements such as funds, manpower and land. Based on the assumption that oil price will not g o down tor the period under review, the Ministry programmed specific firm targets o f primary commercial energy source mix for 1981-86 matching against the demand forecast . This paper is aimed primarily to highlight certain issues on the proposed mix of energy sources and to discuss the possible energy scenarios and the corresponding alternative mixes of energy sources in the event that the oil price either goes up significantly or way below as projected. |
