Abstract | A STUDY OF THE TEXTILE INDUSTRY IN THAILAND This study aims at an overview of the textile industry in Thailand during the period of 1970-1981. The Major objectives are to study the historical development, characteristics, international trade, as well as the role of the government in the textile industry. The understanding of the past will assist in answering the questions of production performance, export opportunity and also concerning the mechanism of domestic development of textiles in the near future as well as its problems. This will help the investors and government policy makers in deciding the correct and effective measures which might hasten the growth of the textile industry. |
