Abstract | This thesis mainly focuses on the intercomparison of the SSARR and SWM-IV models. The successful intercomparison is dependent on the applicability of the models. The SWM-IV model which is usually used for the small watersheds, is used for the large basins. This application is qualified by the intercomparison of the results obtained by the SSARR model which is very suitable to the large basins. Two data sets of two basins with different characteristics, in the Northeast Thailand are selected ~or testing the models. The hydrometeorological data for water years 1978 and 1980 (flood and normal) are used for calibration of the models. The results obtained show that the SWM-IV can al so be applied for the large basins, and that it gives better results for the case of steep basin than for the case of flat basin. |
