AbstractThe aim of this study is to collect the available information regarding design and construction of deep tubewell for the purpose of practical use. The design of different parameters of deep tubewell: depth, diameter, strainer length, strainer diameter, slot opening, gravel pack and spacing have been studied, Different parameters in respect of construction of deep tubewell; drilling, installation of pipe and screen, placing of gravel pack, development and testing and matching and fitting pump with the deep tubewell also have been studied, To ensure proper design and construction of deep tubewell in order to exploit underground water for irrigation purpose is very much essential.
