AbstractThis dissertation aims to investigate stakeholders’ awareness, attitudes, and perceptions toward the use of blockchain technology in agri-supply chain traceability systems. The research is motivated by the increasing demand for transparency and accountability in the food industry and the potential of blockchain technology to enhance traceability and improve food safety. The study employs quantitative data collection and analysis methods. A survey questionnaire will be administered to stakeholders in the agri-supply chain focusing on boiler chicken stakeholders in Thailand, including farmers, processors, sellers, and users, to gather data on their awareness, attitudes, and perceptions toward blockchain technology in an agri-supply chain. The additional survey will be followed by questionnaires among the blockchain experts within Thailand Blockchain Developers Community to gain suggestions to develop the policy guidance further. The findings of the study will contribute to the literature on blockchain technology adoption in the agri supply chain and provide insights into the factors that influence stakeholders’ acceptance and use of blockchain technology in traceability systems. The study also provides policy guidance for agri-food businesses and policymakers in three main sectors as government, public, and education sectors, by guiding how to effectively communicate the benefits of blockchain technology to stakeholders and how to address any concerns or barriers to adoption.
